Find a trusted RICS surveyor

For some Shared Ownership transactions a valuation of your property needs to be carried out by a surveyor registered with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In these instances an estate agent’s market appraisal would not be sufficient.  You can find out if a RICS valuation is needed on the relevant page on our Home Ownership Hub.

Search for RICS-registered surveyors on the RICS website. You are free to work with any RICS-registered surveyor of your choosing, however we can recommend the following as having a good understanding of the standard of survey required for Shared Ownership homes:
