A brand new home for a lovely Bristol family thanks to Shared Ownership.
A Bristol family has decided to make the move to a brand-new home in Brabazon with the help of our Shared Ownership scheme.
After selling her previous Shared Ownership apartment in Fishponds, near Bristol, Harriet Owen, 35, decided to upsize to a three-bedroomed semi-detached home at our Hangar District with her partner Sulaimon Lasisi, 43 and two children JJ and Leon, aged 11 and two.
Harriet, who works as an occupational therapist, said: “We wanted to upsize from our previous home with importance placed on extra living space and a garden.
“There were plenty of options for Bromford Shared Ownership developments, but The Hangar District is in a fantastic area near to Cribbs Causeway and close to nursery, school and work for all of us. Making this move into a larger home with much more space will be the ideal way for our family of four to blossom as the children grow up. Having the option of Bromford Shared Ownership was a real bonus, and this is my second Shared Ownership home.”
Shared Ownership gives first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a property the opportunity to secure a new build home. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required. Purchasers can then increase their share during their time in the property.
Harriet added: “We’re really happy with our new home, from the quirky design throughout to the extra space, bedrooms and garden. The location is superb for us and I would definitely recommend Bromford Shared Ownership a stepping stone towards fully owning your home.”
