Reasons to be cheerful with new Telford home

FIRST-TIME buyers have another reason to be cheerful if they choose a low-deposit Bromford home at Church View, Telford. The town has just been named one of the Top 10 happiest places to live in the latest Happy At Home index published by Rightmove.

If that's not enough to put a smile on your face, consider the fact that you can buy one of our two-bed Church View homes for as little as £58,500* through shared ownership − and your minimum deposit could be just £2,925.

Another reason to be cheerful? The monthly cost of your new two or three-bedroom house off St Matthew's Road, Donnington Wood, will be less on average than it would cost you rent a similar home from a private landlord.

It all adds up to happy home ownership for first-time buyers and other people who can't afford to buy on the open market, according to Bromford Homes Head of Sales Alan Bradley.

"Telford is a popular place and we've sold many shared ownership homes in and around the town so we're not surprised that it has rated so highly in the Happy At Home index," says Alan.

"We know from talking to hundreds of customers over the years that location is really important. You want to buy an affordable home that you can call your own close to where you work, near to your family, friends and local schools.

"Shared ownership can make this dream come true at a price ordinary people like you can afford. With Bromford, you're buying the right home in the right place − and at the right price. Church View (pictured below) is a great example of this and we've only got four homes at this development so my advice to local first-time buyers is to register your interest now."

The Hayward

* The secret of shared ownership's low deposits and low monthly costs is the unique formula that allows you to buy between 25% and 75% of your new Bromford home − the actual share you buy will be linked to how much you can afford − and pay low rent on the remaining share. £58,500 would buy a typical 45% share of a two-bed Church View house with a full market value of £130,000. A minimum deposit of £2,925 assumes a 95% mortgage on that minimum share.
