Rugby open day for first-time buyers

WE'RE rolling out the welcome mat in Warwickshire this weekend with a special Easter open day for first-time buyers who can't afford a home on the open market.

Join us at Connells estate agents in Regent Street, Rugby, on Saturday (April 19) and we'll explain how shared ownership can make your property dream come true at a low price you really can afford.

Our popular part-buy, part-rent formula means you could be moving into a brand new house at Oaklands − just ten minutes drive from Rugby town centre − for as little as £65,250 and a minimum deposit of just £3,263*. That's enough to buy a typical 45% share of a two-bed Sanderling and, with building work almost finished, you could be moving in by the end of July.

We've got just one two-bed available but with two types of three-beds − 13 of them in all − set for completion by the end of May there's a great choice to suit the needs of couples or young families. With three-beds (pictured below) selling for as little as £78,750**, it all adds up to a truly affordable deal for would-be homebuyers on lower incomes − and a low-cost alternative to private renting.

Bromford Homes Head of Sales Alan Bradley urges would-be homebuyers on lower incomes to come along on Saturday between 10am and 4pm and find out more.

"Shared ownership's low deposits and low monthly costs − lower, on average, than it costs to rent from a private landlord − really do make the difference for anyone who wants a home they can call their own but can't afford to buy on the open market," says Alan.

"That's why the first phase of homes at Oaklands was snapped up by eager buyers last year − making it one of our most popular  developments − and now we're delighted to have a second phase coming onto the market. Our buyers tell us time and time again that they would have been unable to get onto the property ladder any other way. If that sounds like you − and you want to find out how you too can make your dream come true − then come and join us at Connells on Saturday."

* £65,250 buys a typical 45% share of a two-bed Sanderling with a full market value of £145,000 and a minimum deposit of just £3,263 assumes a 95% mortgage on the share you buy.

** £78,750 buys 45% of a three-bed Goldcrest with a full market value of £175,000. Your minimum deposit would be £3,938, assuming a 95% mortgage on the share you buy.
