Think big, pay little with HomeBuy at Beeches

WANT a new Bromford home that's big on living space AND big on value? Then take a closer look at The Beeches shared ownership development in south Birmingham.

We've started building 12 high-quality two and three-bedroom homes on a corner plot where Merritt's Brook Lane meets Basil Road on the Frankley reservoir side of Northfield.

Prices start from as little as £34,875* for a three-bed home while a two-bed Frankley semi is on sale through HomeBuy shared ownership for as little as £30,000** with a deposit that could be as low as £1,500 − and that's far from being the only selling point, says Bromford Homes Head of Sales (North) Alan Bradley.

Room sizes are exceptional for a new-build, he says, and another plus point for first-time buyers is the one-way drive that wraps around the site on two sides, so that the homes and parking spaces are set back from the street.

With completion scheduled for the summer, it's a prime opportunity for first-time buyers to get on the property ladder through Bromford's HomeBuy shared ownership scheme.
"You can buy a three-bed Bartley home at The Beeches from £34,875* through shared ownership and the deposit could be as low as £1,744," says Alan.
"It's a great way for first-time buyers to get on the property ladder − especially anyone who thinks they are stuck in private rented housing or will have to save for years to raise the kind of deposit that lenders demand for outright sale.

"Shared ownership really is one of the most affordable ways to buy your home. In fact, we do all we can to make sure that the deal is truly affordable for buyers − whether they are buying a 25% share or anything up to the 75% maximum."

Beeches be quick

The other three-bed style, Merecroft, costs slightly more, with prices starting from £36,250***, and a family-friendly layout of generous-sized rooms that includes a living room with french windows leading to the garden and separate kitchen-diner.

"This is the layout that's particularly popular with homebuyers now and in the case of The Beeches the rooms are generally bigger than you will find in new-build properties these days. It's a real bonus for buyers," says Alan.

"Both three-bed types have a useful understairs cupboard, downstairs cloakroom and fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom. The Merecroft also comes with a utility room.

"All in all, it adds up to an exceptional package − and my advice to any local first-time buyers is to be quick and make sure you don't miss out on this great opportunity to make your home ownership dream come true."
* This example is based on a property price of £139,500. A 25 per cent share would cost £34,875 and a five per cent deposit on that would be £1,744.
** Based on a property price of £120,000. A 25 per cent share would cost £30,000 and a five per cent deposit on that would be £1,500.
*** £36,250 represents a 25 per cent share of a three-bed terraced house with a full value of £145,00. A deposit figure of £1,813 assumes the buyer has a 95 per cent mortgage.
