Pride in Job win for Penny Meadow site manager
BROMFORD Site Manager Pete Hamon has won a prestigious NHBC
Pride in the Job Quality Award for his work managing our
fast-selling Penny Meadow development of homes for
outright sale in Kidderminster.
It's the fourth year in a row that Pete has picked up some kind
of Pride in the Job award while working for our in-house
construction team, Bromford Developments Ltd (BDL). The first was a
Quality Award for the site at Cleobury Mortimer, second was a Seal
of Excellence for the scheme at Wrockwardine Wood, and then last
year he was voted a regional winner for his work at
Priorsleap, Telford.
Once again, Pete beat off intense competition from a field of
13,000 UK site managers to become one of only 450 first-round
winners this year − and is now shortlisted by the National
House Building Council (NHBC) for a possible Seal of Excellence and
regional title.
The Penny Meadow site, off Bewdley Hill, will now sport special
NHBC flags and display boards highlighting Pete's success in
building high-quality houses for homebuyers and their families.

Pete (pictured above) said: "It means a lot to be marked out as
a top performer by a highly-regarded body like the NHBC in a sector
where high standards of work matter so much. Working here at Penny
Meadow has brought its own special challenges but the team have
responded in true Bromford style and we are all really delighted
with what we have created here − top-quality houses that we're
really proud of and that the buyers can be proud of too."
His latest accolade earned warm praise from BDL Construction
Director Malcolm Lowbridge and from Bev Hall, Sales and Marketing
Director of Bromford Homes.
Malcolm said: "Pride in the Job Quality Awards acknowledge site
managers like Pete for showing the utmost care, professionalism and
attention to detail in their work − and Pete is a real
examplar of all these great qualities. We're all really proud of
him and his fantastic contribution to the success of Penny Meadow
and every site that he works on."

Bev agreed, saying: "This award means Penny Meadow (pictured
above) buyers now have an extra guarantee assuring them about the
quality of their Bromford homes. Pete did an excellent job at our
first outright sale development − Priorsleap in Telford −
and we're delighted that he's brought the same special X-factor to
managing the site here at Kidderminster.
"Pete's attention to detail is evident everywhere on the site
and he's an absolute pleasure to deal with. Under his direction,
BDL have done it again. These are top-quality homes from top to
bottom and buyers think so too. This is reflected in the fact that
we've quickly passed the '75% sold'
milestone, leaving just four four-bed houses for sale and feel
confident that they will be snapped up too as Pete and his team
head for a final completion date in August."
The last words go to Isabel Hudson, Executive Chairman of the
NHBC, the UK's leading warranty and insurance provider and
standards setter for new-build homes.
"A Pride in the Job Award marks out recipients as top
performers, showing their true diligence and commitment to
producing the best-quality homes possible," she says. "By
recognising exceptional site managers, NHBC promotes best practice
in house building, bettering the construction quality of new homes
year on year for homeowners and their families."
All new Bromford homes come with a 10-year warranty and insurance
cover issued by the NHBC. Called Buildmark, the warranty comes into
force as soon as buyers exchange contracts and gives you peace of
mind from the moment you move in.
