Super Saturday launch for Larks Rise showhome
FIRST-TIME buyers in Coventry can now see and feel what it looks
like for their home-owning dream to come true − with the
official opening of our Larks Rise shared ownership
showhome and on-site sales centre.
The big day comes on Saturday June 15 when we roll out the
three-bed showhome welcome mat at Brindle Avenue − just a few
miles from the heart of Coventry − from 10am to 5pm.
There to greet you − and explain how one of our part
buy-part rent homes at Larks Rise could be that could be yours for
as little as £30,625* − will be Sales Consultant Kris
His Super Saturday comes as Larks Rise shared ownership sales
soar past the halfway mark, with 21 of the 39 two and three-bed
homes snapped up by first-time buyers and others who can't afford
to buy on the open market.
Kris urges aspiring homebuyers to come along next weekend and
see for themselves why Larks Rise is proving so
popular − and so does Bromford Homes Head of Sales Alan
"It's going to be a great day for first-time buyers because it
gives them a chance to see a finished house for themselves and get
a real sense of what it would be like for their home-buying dream
to come true," says Alan.
"Our friends at Claude Hooper − one of the leading names
for interior property design − have done a great job creating
a contemporary look with all the carpets, curtains and furniture
that I'm sure will appeal to many of our customers.
"We're sure the quality, look and feel of the houses and the
development as a whole will appeal to visitors − and, of
course, shared ownership makes owning one of these great homes
"Instead of buying outright, you buy between 25% and 75% −
depending on how much you can afford - and pay low rent on the
remaining share. It really is as simple as that − and the fact
that more than half the homes have already been snapped up shows
that first-time buyers agree."
He points to the two-bed terraced houses at Larks Rise which can
be bought for as little as £30,625* if you're a buyer that
qualifies for a minimum 25% share − with a deposit that could
be as low as £1,532*. Prices for a three-bed house are only
slightly higher − starting at £36,875** for a minimum 25%
share and a deposit that could be as little as £1,844**.
Those prices are making a real difference for would-be buyers,
according to Sales Consultant Kris. "We've had an amazing response
from first-time buyers − and some of them can't wait to see
inside a finished home and have a good look around," he says.
"At the same time, of course, affordability is a key issue for
so many of the first-time buyers I speak to and you can see from
our figures that shared ownership is a truly affordable way to get
on to the property ladder. Many people simply can't afford the
fairly large deposits that most lenders now require − with
typical figures that run into tens of thousands. With shared
ownership, typical initial costs are much lower and so are total
His message to would-be buyers in and around Coventry?
"It's a real shame that so many first-time buyers feel like they
will never be able to afford that first step on to the property
ladder. If that sounds like you and you're keen to see one of these
great houses after it has been turned into a home, then please come
and meet us next weekend − especially if you want your pick of
the remaining plots."
Lark Rise showhome will also be open on Saturday and Sunday,
June 15 and 16. Normal opening hours after June 15 will be 10am-5pm
from Thursday to Monday. Coventry homehunters can register for updates and find out
