Shared ownership open weekend for Cirencester

FIRST-TIME buyers in Cirencester can quiz the experts at a special Bromford Homes open weekend − and find out how shared ownership can make their property-owning dream come true for much less than they thought.

They're invited to meet the Bromford sales team on Saturday (April 27) and Sunday at our visitor-friendly Fortuna showhome off Buncombe Way, Kingshill Meadow, from 11am to 4pm.

Visitors can find out more about our successful Fortuna development, where prices start from £31,250* for a one-bed apartment, and more about how shared ownership works.

Bromford Homes Sales Consultant Kirsty Derby urges local first-time buyers to drop in and ask as many questions as they like in a free, friendly and informal atmosphere.

"We'll be here to explain how shared ownership works and how easily it can unlock the door to the home of your dreams for much less than you might expect and certainly less than it costs to rent privately," says Kirsty.

"We did something similar at the start of April and local first-time buyers loved it. We had lots of visitors and they told us that they found it really useful. That's why we decided to hold another open weekend so that first-time buyers from the Cirencester area can drop in and find out more about shared ownership and what they can get for as little as £31,250*."

That will buy a mimimum 25% share of a one-bed apartment at Fortuna, with a 5% deposit on that share costing as little as £1,563*. Starting prices for a two-bed apartment are only a little higher at £37,500, with a 5% deposit costing a little as £1,875**.

Bromford Homes Head of Sales (South) Trish Foster says: "Prices like that make home ownership truly affordable for people who can't afford to buy on the open market − especially in an area like Cirencester where property prices are generally fairly high and average earnings are relatively low.

"Shared ownership allows the first-time buyer to purchase between 25% and 75% of a new home and pay a low monthly rent on the remaining share − it's as simple as that. The part buy-part rent deal really does bring the dream of home ownership within reach − and you can see that by the fact that we've now sold 78 shared ownership apartments and houses here at Fortuna.

"We do everything we can to make sure that the HomeBuy deal is truly affordable for buyers − whether they are buying a 25% share or anything up to the 75% maximum.

"Customers who've already bought here love the homes, they love the location and they love the prices. At the end of the day, they get a traditionally-built, energy-efficient home built for ease of maintenance for less each month than they would typically pay a private landlord or to buy outright."
