Shared ownership sales bonanza at East Park
SHARED ownership is no longer the "best-kept secret of the
property world" around Wolverhampton's East Park.
Bromford Homes property expert Alan Bradley says the secret is
out - thanks to a shared ownership sales bonanza that saw all part
rent-part buy homes at The Newlands claimed by buyers in little
more than three months.
The first sale was completed just over a month after the homes
were handed over by the builder and the last two buyers completed
on Friday (October 12).
"HomeBuy
shared ownership is there to help people who can't otherwise
afford to buy on the open market by making it possible for them to
get that vital first step on the property ladder," says Alan, Head of Sales
for Bromford Homes.
"It's been doing a great job for a number of years now and yet
it doesn't get the publicity or prominence that it deserves , which
is why some of us think of it as the best-kept secret of the
property world.
"Well, it looks like the secret is out - at least among the
buyers in and around East Park, who've snapped up all nine homes
here at The Newlands in something like record time."
His enthusiasm for HomeBuy shared ownership - plus the quality
of Bromford homes and Bromford customer service - is shared by
delighted buyers Sharon and Richard Osborn, who
moved in at East Park with teenage son Joshua several weeks
ago.
"We've ended up getting a better home than we dreamed of and
we've got it for around half the price - plus our monthly low rent,
of course. HomeBuy shared ownership is a great way of getting on to
the property ladder," enthuses Sharon.
"We ended up buying a 55 per cent share and only had to find
around £3,500 in deposit… we heard about shared ownership but
didn't think we would be eligible. We were so pleased when we were
told that we could qualify - and that we could get one of these
beautiful bungalows here at East Park."
Husband Richard, a civil servant, says: "We filled in the
application and it all fell into place so quickly after that… it
makes such a difference knowing that we've got as real stake in the
property."
