"Great prices for great homes" at Northfield

PRICES are confirmed for Bromford Homes' latest shared ownership development in Birmingham.

This means local first-time buyers can get on the property ladder at The Beeches, Northfield, for as little as £30,000* for a two-bed Frankley semi − with the deposit as low as £1,500. And prices for a two-bed end-of-terrace Farley home are slightly higher, starting from £33,125.

Prices for a three-bed terraced Merecroft home start at £36,250**, with deposits as low as £1,813, and prices for a three-bed Bartley house start from £34,875.

The official prices are announced as Bromford's award-winning construction team gear up to start building a total of four three-bed and eight two-bed homes on the former pub site next month.

Completion is scheduled for summer 2013 and Bromford Homes Head of Sales Alan Bradley urges local first-time buyers to act quickly if they want to reserve a particular plot.

Realise the dream

"A reservation costs just £500 and I would say to anyone who's wants to get on the property ladder in Northfield that putting down that money on a new home at The Beeches could be one of the best investments you'll make," says Alan.

"These are great homes at great prices and our HomeBuy part buy-part rent offer makes them truly affordable for anyone who wants to stop renting and realise the dream of home ownership.

"Many people believe that dream is out of their reach but shared ownership really does offer people who couldn't otherwise afford to buy a chance to get on the property ladder without having to save a huge deposit or to apply for a hefty mortgage. What's more, it probably won't cost more each month than renting from a private landlord."

With HomeBuy, customers purchase between 25% and 75% of their new home and pay a low rent on the remaining share.

"We do everything we can to make sure that the deal is truly affordable for buyers − whether they are buying a 25 per cent share or anything up to the 75 per cent maximum," says Alan.

Really affordable prices

"At the end of the day, buyers at The Beeches will get a traditionally-built, energy-efficient home built for ease of maintenance at a really affordable price.

"What's more, our price includes a lot of features that buyers might have to pay for as extras elsewhere. Things like turfed front and back gardens, full screen fencing, and quality kitchens."

The contemporary-looking brick homes will take shape on a corner plot where Merritt's Brook Lane meets Basil Road on the Frankley reservoir side of Northfield in south Birmingham.

It's a family-friendly spot, with a good choice of local primary schools and local shops on the other side of Merritt's Brook Lane. Northfield Health Centre and a Sainsbury's supermarket are little more than half a mile way and Northfield centre roughly a mile. To find out more about buying at The Beeches call 0845 60 10 878

* This example is based on a property price of £120,000. A 25 per cent share would cost £30,000 and a five per cent deposit on that would be £1,500.
** £36,250 represents a 25 per cent share of a three-bed terraced house with a full value of £145,00. A deposit figure of £1,813 assumes the buyer has a 95 per cent mortgage.
