First-time buyers snapping up St Paul’s Walk homes

DON'T delay if you want to get that first foot on the property ladder at St Paul's Walk, Cheltenham, buyers are being urged.

This high-quality development close to the town centre is proving really popular with would-be home-owners, who can buy a two-bed house here for as little as £32,750*.

They're so popular that a third of the 18 shared ownership homes have already been reserved and, according to Trish Foster, Head of Sales for Bromford Homes, they're ideal for local first-time buyers.

The £32,750 she quotes is enough to buy a minimum 25 per cent share of a two-bed house − and the deposit could be as little as £1,638*.

HomeBuy shared ownership enables would-be homeowners to buy up to 75 per cent and pay rent on the remaining share.

"Shared ownership is a great way for people to get into the home-buying market and these homes at St Paul's are ideal for local first-time buyers," said Trish.

"We do everything we can to make sure the deal is truly affordable for buyers. When they come to us, we go through their finances with them and work out what they can really afford. At the end of the day, buyers get a new energy-efficient home built for ease of maintenance at a truly affordable price."

St Paul's Walk is being built as part of an area regeneration led by Cheltenham Borough Homes and Bromford Homes is marketing the shared ownership homes on their behalf.

The showhome is open Saturday to Monday 10am to 5pm. To find out more call 0845 6010878.

* The minimum £1,638 deposit is based on a customer borrowing 95 per cent of a 25 per cent share on a two-bed house costing £131,000. That 25 per cent share would cost £32,750.
